BlueHole will release a new monthly patch on May 25th and it is focused on client performance. Along with that some other news have come up on twitter.
Apparently, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds development team are focusing on game animations for future updates. Some being a machete takedown, bandaging, running, vaulting/climbing and melee takedowns (1 and 2). There is no ETA yet on when the animations will be added to the game.
The main announcement, has we said previously, with a definitive spot in this monthly patch, is the newest gun:
VSS
The Russian VSS, is a suppressed sniper rifle that uses 9×39mm bullets. Developed in the late 1980s. Primarily used by Spetsnaz units for undercover or clandestine operations.
The 9mm ammo used by a few existing PUBG guns is different from the 9x39mm ammo used by the VSS. Because, the current 9mm ammo is of the 9x19mm Parabellum variety, which is half as heavy as the 9x39mm and produces half the muzzle energy of the 9x39mm. And the developers have confirmed that the VSS will have a permanent 4x scope.
This update’s patch notes weren’t released yet, expect them to be released early next week, we will post them as soon as possible.
