NAVI triumphed over FaZe in the thrilling finale of the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 for Counter-Strike 2, grabbing a hefty $500,000 prize and securing a spot in the BLAST Premier World Final.

Over two exciting weeks, the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 showcased some of the best action in Counter-Strike 2. For Portuguese fans, it was an especially emotional event with SAW representing on the global stage. Unfortunately, despite starting strong with two wins, the Warriors couldn’t make it past the initial phase.

Making history, Natus Vincere (NAVI) claimed the Major title after facing off against FaZe in a nail-biting final showdown. The grand final drew a massive audience, reaching a peak of 1.8 million viewers, making it one of the most-watched Counter-Strike events ever.

The final match was a real nail-biter, with NAVI taking the lead in the first game on FaZe’s map pick, Ancient. FaZe fought back, leveling the match on Mirage. The deciding game on Inferno showcased the incredible skills of b1t and jL, leading NAVI to a resounding 13-3 victory.

NAVI’s win puts them in the elite group of teams with multiple Major victories, alongside fnatic and Astralis. This marked b1t’s second Major win, with jL named MVP of the final.

Along with the prestigious trophy, NAVI walked away with a cool $500,000 prize and secured their spot in the BLAST Premier World Final and Esports World Cup 2024. FaZe, despite their defeat, took home $170,000, while SAW received a commendable $10,000 for their participation in the Major.
