ESL announced on Tuesday (18th) that the Major in Brazil will have a showmatch, it will be a clash between legends from Brazil and Sweden. Legends Clash, will take place before the grand finale on November 13th and the line-ups have already been revealed.
The showmatch is scheduled to take place at 13:00 (Brasília time) and will be held at the Jeunesse Arena. All fans who bought tickets for the final will watch the game of legends. In addition, ESL also asked viewers which dream teams to see in this match.
In the tweet responses, many Brazilian fans asked that the legendary Luminosity and SK Gaming squad, which won both Majors, represent Brazil. Others merged the line-up with players from the Counter-Strike and CS 1.6 era. For the other team, fans cited Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund and Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg as the duo that cannot be missed in the line-up.
On October 20, IEM revealed the lineups to the public, which matched most of the community wishes.
The Swedish side will not only be consisted of GeT_RiGhT and f0rest, but it will also feature Jesper “JW” Wecksell, Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer Gustafsson and Adam “friberg” Friberg, making this one of the most legendary lineups of all time.
Speaking about legendary lineups, the Brazilian side will be featuring a full team with two Major wins, Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, Fernando “fer” Alvarenga, Marcelo “coldzera” David, Lincoln “fnx” Lau and Epitácio “TACO” de Melo that had their first major win in MLG Major Championship: Columbus 2016 and second in ESL One: Cologne 2016 under the coaching of Wilton “zews” Prado, at the time.
