ELEAGUE is starting today one of the biggest tournaments in terms of prizepool without the need from Valve sponsorship. ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2017 has a prizepool of $1,000,000 just like a Major and the winner takes home $500,000. The tournament will take place in Atlanta, the same place as ELEAGUE Major tournament that occurred in January this year.
For this event 8 teams were brought from ESL One: Cologne 2016 and other 8 teams from ELEAGUE Major 2017 – Offline Qualifier, making a total of 16 teams.
The events Group Stage will be played according to the following rules:
- 16 team swiss-tournament
 - Every match is Bo1
 
Teams that advance to the Playoffs will face these rules:
- Single-elimination bracket
 - Best-of-three matches
 
The top 8 teams will be granted Legend status and will automatically be qualified for the next Major.
