After journalists were allowed to watch the new gameplay for Dying Light 2 behind closed doors at E3 and Gamescom, the demo from the gameplay from has finally been released. The video shows a mission were the players need to restore the water supply to a settlement.

As always, momentous decisions must be made in this mission as well. So at the beginning Frank, a friend of the main character, is shot. The player now has two choices: Should he take care of Frank or continue to pursue the plan to restore the water supply. The player in the demo decides to save the community, but Frank loses his life. In addition to many tough decisions Dying Light 2 also offers a huge open world.

A huge world that wants to be explored

As the commentator of the demo tells, Dying Light 2 has a total of seven major regions that are all very different. In each area, the player can use different parkour maneuvers, face different enemy types and face different gameplay mechanics.

And the action is of course not too short: In the video you can see how the main character uses a modified electric knife against bandits to defend himself and a UV lamp against grilling zombies.

If you liked the predecessor’s Parkour elements, you’ll love Dying Light 2. As it says in the commentary in the video, this time there are twice as many moves as before, with which even the tallest buildings can be reached.
