After the Gamescom and the Deep Dive demo for Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red has become a bit quieter about the upcoming sci-fi role-playing game. But you can not do without news today. Although, there are two details that they revealed recently.

Cyberpunk 2077: Fast Travel Costs

As a player you will be able to use public transport such as subways – in addition to other means of transportation such as car or motorcycle. However, such a ride will not be free, so the player has to pay in any way to get from area A to area B quickly. These fast trips are also one of the few occasions where you can even see loading screens. Only at the start of the game and fast journeys charging sequences are to be seen, since the game can not foresee this decision by the player.

Cyberpunk 2077: Raytracing as a door opener for more atmosphere

Following Gamescom, Nvidia has published a video interview featuring Martie Jonkers, Senior Concept Artist of CD Projekt Red. Of course, Nvidia wants to know how and if raytracing as technology helps to put the an artist’s vision into action. Jonkers is impressed because raytracing makes the graphics look very real, he wants to see his ideas “on paper” as similar as possible in the game and that’s exactly what happens through raytracing. Jonkers also answers the question of whether someone can have higher ambitions in the design with the possibilities of raytracing and if someone can enhance the concept drawings with more atmosphere, because he knew that this could also be implemented. This also allows more freedom to try new design concepts.
