Borderlands 3 is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Borderlands series, since the original Borderlands made its debut on October 20, 2009. And Gearbox Software has come up with something special for the celebrations.
There will be weekly events in October that will activate special bonuses in Borderlands 3. And to start big, there will be more Legendaries.
Borderlands 3 bosses with increased chance to drop Legendaries
From now until October 7th, Borderlands 3 runs the Boss Week. Now, which Legendary is dropped when we bring them to their knees.
Here’s a list of 13 different bosses with increased drop rate:
- Mouthpiece has an increased drop rate for “Gatling Gun”
- KillaVolt has an increased drop rate for “Brainstormer”
- Gigamind has an increased drop rate for “Nagata”
- Katagawa Ball has an increased drop rate for “Rectifier”
- Katagawa has an increased drop rate for legendary class mods
- Rampager has an increased drop rate for “Kill-o’-the-Wisp”
- Warden has an increased drop rate for “Echo”
- GenIVIV has an increased drop rate for “Ten Gallon”
- Aurelia has an increased drop rate for “Creeping Death”
- Graveward has an increased drop rate for “Earworm”
- Pain and Terror have an increased drop rate for legendary class mods
- Troy has an increased drop rate for “Nova Berner”
- Tyreen has an increased drop rate for “Bitch”
Attention: These drops are not guaranteed, it is only more likely that these items are in the loot.
More events incoming
There will be four more special weeks in the course of October, but Gearbox has not yet detailed it. But, we already know the names of the weeks:
- Week 1 (October 1st – 7th): Bonus Boss Loot! (currently active)
- Week 2 (8th – 14th October): Rare Spawn Hunt!
- Week 3 (October 15-21): Show Me the Eridium!
- Week 4 (October 22-28): Mayhem on Twitch!
- Week 5 (October 29 – November 4): Spooky Surprise!
