Betway will be the new sponsor for the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive BLAST Pro Series, adding another esports partnership to what has already been a busy 2019 for the online betting platform.

BLAST Pro Series does eight international tournaments per season and in each event it features six pro teams, with at least one local team and a $250K USD prize pool.

2018 events where some of the most memorable, specially Lisbon, Portugal where BLAST Pro Series didn’t expect that the country was so much into esports. In 2019 the first season event is this weekend in São Paulo, Brazil, with a Miami, Florida, stop in April and Madrid, Spain, in May.

To note is the fact that BLAST Pro Series goal is to promote Counter-Strike Global Offensive esports in countries that don’t have a solid scene or have no scene at all, by trying to reach for parents, older generations and deliver an entertaining family show across all media platforms, including TV.

With this new deal, Betway will also sponsor backstage access segments and provide VIP hospitality and “With events in the series being held all across the world, we can’t wait to reach even more fans than ever before.” said Betway marketing and operations director Paul Adkins in a release. The deal is for one year, with the option to renew for an additional year.
